How It Began…
Some years ago, my wife and I were trying to decide where to have our wedding ceremony. We tossed around the idea of having casual, food truck-style service at a farm or winery, but since I come from a bar background, I needed the drinks to be special and I didn’t want the bar to feel like an afterthought. We ended up scrapping the farm idea and had a blissful wedding on the beach. But that started the wheels turning, so to speak.
In the 80’s my father owned a shop that focused on old VW’s and my grandfather had an orange VW Bus that, around the same time, sat in his driveway. I thought since anyone who was alive in the 70’s or early 80’s probably has a story about a VW Bus, why not bring my passion for drinks on the road and hear some of those stories?
VW Buses were built to do so many things! Going fast, however, was not one of them. That’s OK, though, because we’re carrying some special cargo. No matter what type of event the CT Cocktail Car is doing for you, know that care has been taken to ensure we are using the good stuff. A. Anywhere with 13 feet of vertical space. Farms, fields, festivals, courtyards and backyards can play host to the cocktail car. We’ll go anywhere in CT!
##### Q. What's included?
A. We provide everything you’ll need for exceptional beverage service. While each event is unique, we’ll always offer a creative and seasonal cocktail menu, basic mixers for standard drinks, craft beer and wine, non alcoholic options and of course, the iconic Cocktail Car. Glassware. If you feel that your occasion calls for glassware, rather than our eco-friendly plastic cups, we are happy to help with rentals.

A. Throughout Connecticut and beyond. $.50 per mile outside of New Haven.
